I believe we are here for a certain time and then we are gone. I would not want to be reanimated. I also do not want to live forever. |

I am currenting researching stratergies to extend healthy life-span, particularly neuroprotection.
I feel the biggest threat posed by life extension is the collapse of mutal funds and socialist ideas of social security. Longer life must be tied with late retirement. I think the future looks bright for living a longer and healthier life. My suggestion: drink more tea and red wine. :-) |

Because of entropy I believe we will not be able to live as long as we used to. (Q5)
(Q 10) I would like to more strongly disagree with. |

Quality of life is important, when people lose the ability to function in an irreversible way, removal of the life-support is then justifiable. A portion of the people which are irreversably nonfunctional can be experimented on, as a method of creating functional people. |

If you wanted to live a healthy life for as long as you want, would you want it to end? |

No complex biological entities surviving ancient (sudden or other) permafrost encapsulation are in evidence. I believe modest improvements in health are available through what is eaten and exercise.

the probes into the perceived roles of science and
faith dominate, but what about the roles of education
and psychological orientation? |

Death is as natural as life and is a part of it. Who is to say a corporal state is natural for us?
What if you go to pie heaven? Think of what you would miss out on by being frozen?
What if seventy two virgins have to stay that way? |

I started a nutritional supplement and pharmaceutical life-extension program in 1982. My brother, 50 weeks younger than me, is regularly mistaken for being 10 years older than me. |

I found out about life extension through the Internet and science fiction.
I am not a chemistry major so I am skeptical of the claims brains can be repaired through nanotechnology. In particular, I will spend time studying whether the problems created by vitrification are physically impossible to repair.
If they are not physically impossible, then I will seriously consider cryonics. |

I cant say that I would ever in a billion years consider cryonics, but completing this survey has made me do a little research on an interesting topic. |

Life can be extended by good health measures but limits of living are finite possibly to 120 to 140 maximum.
Cryotherapy will not be a possibility |

after reading your report i must correct you. a heart that is stopped shows up on the electrocardiogram as "asystole" aka flat-line. this patient cannot be defibrillated because there is know electrical activity to revive. the only "shockable" heart rhythms are v-fib and v-tach. perhaps you should do some med research before falsely giving citizens the notion of eternal life |
